The m1 Carbine was a gun that has been used in WW2 and used in the book Articles of War. "He held his M1 between his legs and his fingers on it were moist" said heck.(Arvin Articles of War 39) This was one of the guns that many of the soldiers used during the war. It was used for self defence but instead of using a pistal they used the M1 because it was stronger.
I think that this was very important artifact that was used in the war because if we didnt have weapons in the war we would no have one the war with out them.
This does not change my opinion on the war but it makes me think that it was a good idea that they used these instead of pistols because i owiuld feel safer if I had a riffle instead.
Interesting artifact, Tyler! And way to incorporate a quote from the novel into your post.... it makes it much more interesting to read with a believable argument! Think also, about how the weapons used in WWII are different than the weapons we've studied already in ASP..... how has this impacted war? Think about WWI and "Johnny Got His Gun" or weapons used in the Civil War....How has this progression changed what we are capable of in war?? hmmmm....
